New soundtrack: Omedeto

We are excited to announce the completion of the original soundtrack for the film "Omedeto."  This project, inspired by a dramatic story full of depth and meaning, marks a return to the roots of film composition, with a very special focus on musical narrative.

A Journey of Inspiration and Change of Course

After speaking with the director, filmmaker Miguel Ángel Cardona, and understanding the true essence of the story, the music took a different direction than what Rubén initially had in mind. The result is a contemporary-style soundtrack where the grandeur of the classical orchestra is combined with subtle melodies, giving prominence to the piano and string section. This work has a touch of familiarity and emotion that enhances the auditory experience.

Synopsis and Filming Notes

"Omedeto" is a short film born from an unexpected trip to Japan, led by Miguel Ángel Cardona, who directs and stars in the movie. The story of "Omedeto" focuses on the exploration of friendships and the transformative experience of a journey that was initially unplanned.

Filmed in iconic locations in Japan such as Shibuya, the Tokyo Tower, and Osaka Castle, the film combines the visual beauty of Japan with an intimate and personal narrative. The shoot was an adventure in itself, filled with improvised and spontaneous moments that contributed to the authenticity of the film.

The team, composed of Cardona's close friends, lived unforgettable experiences during filming, capturing the essence of a country full of contrasts and emotions. From the intensity of Tokyo's streets to the serenity of historical landscapes, "Omedeto" is a tribute to the magic of independent cinema and the stories that emerge when you least expect them.

Building an Unforgettable Leitmotif

"Omedeto" features 12 tracks spread throughout the film. The heart of the composition is a leitmotif that gradually builds, culminating in the final theme, where violins and cellos create a musical dialogue full of questions and answers. A significant detail is that none of the tracks fully conclude, reflecting the unfinished narrative of the story until its final resolution. This approach is a clear example of how music and narrative can work hand in hand to enhance the cinematic experience.

A Deeply Personal Work

This project is the result of an exclusive and deeply personal effort. Every note and every chord has been carefully crafted to express the essence of the story that "Omedeto" seeks to tell. It is a project that, although challenging, has resulted in one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.

Expected Release

Although an official release date has yet to be confirmed, it is expected that we will be able to enjoy the "Omedeto" soundtrack later this year. I am eager for everyone to listen to and experience the emotion and drama I have sought to capture in this work.

Personal Reflection

"Returning to the drama genre has been a wonderful experience. After spending time exploring other musical genres, reconnecting with such an emotional story as 'Omedeto' has been a true gift. This project has allowed me to rediscover my love for dramatic compositions and the ability of music to tell deep stories."
